We are pleased to announce the first call for our heritage incubation programme - HeritageLab, which will be the first such programme in Slovenia. Applicants should apply until 13th April.
The HeritageLab programme has already been recognized as an important factor in further developing the cultural heritage sector in Slovenia. The programme has a distinct feature as it focuses on smaller towns and peripheral areas facing a decrease in employment opportunities and the consequent outmigration of young people. HeritageLab thus addresses the importance of preserving (endangered) cultural heritage and fosters local community revival. The first round of the programme will be launched in cooperation with the Center for Creativity at the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana.
The HeritageLab incubation programme was recognized for the first time as an important solution for smaller towns and peripheral areas at the 2018 European Social Innovation Competition (organized by the European Commission), where it received an award for the Best European Social Innovation.
Cultural Heritage is a business opportunity
Cultural heritage needs to »breathe«, change and intertwine with other sectors. It is an opportunity - not only for the local identity and insight into our shared past but also for an entrepreneurial path.
We are starting a new story - with the HeritageLab, we would like to pass on the knowledge and skills we have acquired in recent years. We're searching for young people who will create a new value for the local communities - not only economical but also social.
HeritageLab offers a comprehensive support
We will provide to the selected teams:
- professional and engaged support;
- support of 200 EUR + 800 EUR for a selected team;
- professional and active support (UNESCO World Heritage Inzaghi shaft, Idrija);
- support at the grant application
- social events (socializing, excursions, workshops …)
- bi-weekly newsletter about grant oppportunities 14-dnevna informiranja o priložnostih (aktualni razpisi, dogodki ...).
We are searching for motivated teams with a business idea in the field of cultural heritage who are willing to bring their idea to a successful implementation with a plan for further scaling.
