At the end of January, we hosted the partners of the international project Planet Pulse: Youth Rising Above Climate Anxiety in Idrija. The project focuses on empowering young people to face climate challenges.
The aim of the project is to support young people in understanding climate change and to equip them with the knowledge and tools needed for effective action. Through innovative approaches such as digital platforms, guides, and virtual events, the project promotes a sustainable future and helps overcome climate anxiety.
Conclusion of the Project's First Phase
We welcomed our partners in Idrija at the conclusion of the project's first phase, during which we developed two key outputs that will soon be available on the project's website.
The first is the Youth-Centric Climate Awareness Guide, designed to educate young people about climate change, its impacts, and possible mitigation actions. We are also finalizing the development of a digital tool that helps young people understand and assess their feelings and concerns regarding climate change.
Meeting and Learning Activity in Idrija
The partners' visit lasted two days. On the first day, we held a working meeting where we reviewed the progress so far and planned the next steps for the project.
On the second day, in cooperation with the Idrija Youth Center, we organized a learning activity that included presentations of good practices in the fields of youth work, sustainability, environment, and volunteer actions. A significant part of the meeting was also dedicated to discussing climate anxiety. Through an interactive game called Self-care Bingo, we explored how young people experience climate challenges, which practices help them cope, and how these insights can be incorporated into the development of the project's learning materials.

Plans for the Coming Year
Over the next year, we will work with our partners to develop a collection of educational materials and tools for youth workers dealing with climate topics, as well as an online course that will offer young people knowledge, strategies, and practical insights into climate change, encouraging informed decision-making and active engagement.
The Planet Pulse project runs from May 2024 to April 2026. You can follow the activities and results on the official website: https://planet-pulse.eu/.
